Long, wedding hairstyles are very romantic

Wedding hairstyles look very romantic when they are extra long and wavy. Subtle waves, see photo left, make this style very appealing. The crown area is kept smooth and waves start about shoulder level and go to the ends.

The extra long length can be achieved easily by attaching human hair extensions. There are clip-in extensions that can be attached for a very temporary style, or there are more permanent extensions that are attached directly to the natural hair for a more permanent attachment using bonding, fusion, locs, links or string.  See more wedding hairstyles

Wedding Hair Styles

Hair styles for your wedding can be very fancy, see photo left, or very ordinary. This wedding hair style features a lot of twists, curls and special effects.

This is not a style that you can easily create on your own. For best results, print a picture of the hair style that you like and take it into your stylist. A picture will help your stylist visualize what you are looking for.

Some brides even schedule a trial run several weeks before the wedding just to make sure their hair will be perfect and the way they want.

Need to find wedding hairstyles fast?

So, you've waited till the last minute to do your hair for your big wedding day. You need a great-looking style fast. Where do you start?

This style, see Kate Moss left, is a quick and easy updo hairstyle that will work for an elegant wedding hairstyle. Add height in the crown area by gently back combing small sections of hair.  Smooth over the top with your fingers and gently sweep the hair over to one side with no visible part.

Next, pull all the hair back and twist into a medium height chignon in the back. Pin the ends of the hair into place. Insert veil, cue the music...and you are ready to walk down the aisle.

This is low fuss hairstyle for Kate Moss who decided to pull her locks back. This easy look is great for those busy people always on the go.  See more wedding hairstyles .

Lovely Upstyles, Wedding Hairstyles

Soft and sexy curly updos work well for any wedding. All over curls are very romantic.  Of course there is an issue with keeping the curls in the hair for the duration of the wedding event.  But with a good strong hairspray and a good hair stylist, brides shouldn't have any problem.

This was a soft and sexy upstyle for Eva from the 2007 NCLR ALMA Awards. Her hair was softly pinned back and loose waves were left out around her face to soften her entire look. Upstyles are a great styling option for anyone after a look which will show off their facial features.  See more wedding hairstyles

Beautiful hairstyles for long hair are a great choice for your wedding day.
See photo left, this long hairstyle features gentle waves from chin level down to the ends with a center part.  The hair is extremely long-- if you want to get hair this long for your wedding consider hair extensions.

Schedule a consultation with your hair stylist several weeks, if not months before your wedding day. Bring a photo of the long hairstyle that you want for your wedding so the stylist has a visual representation of what you want.

Short Wedding Hairstyles Ideas

The typical wedding hairstyle is the long, curly hairstyle with a tiara or headpiece clipped in. One option that many brides are looking for is the short wedding hairstyle.  There are many different options for the short hair today.  Add long layers, long side swept bangs, or style it curly all over.  The short bob is also a very popular style with different versions such as the inverted or asymetric bob gaining in popularity.

Sophisticated Updo for Wedding

The elegant updo is a great choice for many brides.  Consider Beyonce Knowles updo, see photo left, for your wedding hair style.  All of the hair is pulled up into a bun , while leaving out a small section of hair that is then braided and wrapped around the bun.

For a quicker updo, try clipping in a hairpiece into the bun. For best results, the hairpiece should match your hair color to appear natural.

Beautiful Long Wedding Hairstyles

If you are looking for the perfect wedding hairstyle, consider the long, curly style with a few wispy side bangs to soften up the face.  Create this style by applying a curl-enhancing cream or gel to damp hair.  Next, blow dry the hair using a diffuser attachment and just your fingers to shape or position the hair.  If you use a brush while blow  drying, you will remove any natural curl that is in your hair.

Next, (if you haven't already done so) apply a heat protectant hair product to the hair. Hot appliances like curling irons and blow dryers can be damaging to the hair if it is not protected.

Add all over bouncy curls using a medium barrel curling iron. Curls can be added with a flat iron, but it will require a bit of practice.

Wait until the hair is completely cooled before shaping and positioning the curls.  Finally, spray all the hair with a strong-hold hair spray to keep all the curls in place.  Many brides will schedule an appointment with the hair stylist to get this long curly hairstyle, since it can take a considerable amount of time to create on your own. Some brides even get hair extensions added to their hair to create this beautiful look.  See more wedding hairstyles.

Summer Wedding Hairstyles

Selecting a wedding hairstyle for a summer wedding can be challenging.  If the wedding will be outside, you will definitely want to go with an updo.  Unless, of course, your hair is not prone to the frizzies.  The extra humidity in the air during the summer can wreak havoc on many hairstyles.  Curls tend to fall out, waves drop.
Check out this elegant updo that is perfect for a summer wedding hairstyles.

Long, curly wedding hairstyles

Long, curly hairstyles are a great choice for a wedding hairstyle. Add soft curls all over using a curling iron, leaving out some wispy strands to frame the face. If you don't like hair to fall in your face, there is always the partial updo hairstyle.  After curling the hair all over, pull back small sections of hair on each side of your part and secure them in a low ponytail in back.

Add height in the crown area by gently back combing small sections of hair.  Adding some long side swept bangs make for a very romantic looking hairstyle.

Spring Wedding Hairstyles

Wedding Hairstyles Ideas

This spring and summer there will be many new and different wedding hairstyles to pick from. Some of these new styles include:

1. Loose chignon with curly tendrils of hair around the face and sides. This type of hairstyle has a certain 'undone' look to it with loose strands all over. Add tight pin curls to these strands for a very romantic look.

2. Long and smooth. Wearing your hair down and long for your wedding is always a great option. Dress your style up by adding some hair accessories, some highlights or soft waves throughout. Make sure your hair is extra shiny and soft for the big day. Do a deep condition several days before your big day and add shine serum to your hair after it has been styled.

3. Partial updos. These are always a great option for the bride that doesn't like her hair pulled completely up, but doesn't want her hair to look plain by wearing it down. Add curl to the hair that is pulled back in a ponytail, or clip on a pony fall for a fantastic and quick modern look.
